Japan Rail Pass offers unlimited travel throughout Japan by rail and is the most economical way. There are two types of Japan Rail Pass: Green (first class) and Ordinary (standard class). Each of them are available in 7,14, or 21 consecutive days. |

Japan Rail Pass Validity |

When you purchase Japan Rail Pass in Australia, you will receive an "Exchange Order", which is valid for three month from the date of issue. You have to exchange it with the actual Japan Rail Pass and specify the start date in Japan. Japan Rail Pass is valid for Japan Railway trains (including bullet trains but "Nozomi") buses and ferries.

Where can I exchange Japan Rail Pass? |

After you arrive in Japan, you can exchange your "Exchange order" to receive Japan Rail Pass at most travel service centre in major Japan Railway station.
If an "Exchange order" or Japan Rail Pass is lost or stolen, |
